What’s New With Redzone? (July 2026)

Redzone is constantly finding ways to cut through factory-floor friction, elevate production processes, and provide frontline teams greater visibility into their shifts. We are continually rolling out feature-packed improvements across the platform for your operations teams. Here is a look at some of the new Redzone capabilities that landed on customer plant floors this month.
GS1-128 Barcode Validation
Frontline teams can break down and validate complex, multipart barcodes right on the floor with Separable (GS1-128) Barcode Validation. Redzone automatically verifies individual segments according to the multipart GS1-128 barcode structure, reducing complexity and preventing labeling errors before they slow down your shipping dock.
Branded and Streamlined Compliance Checks
Did you know enterprise customers can display their logo on PDF exports, ensuring consistent company branding across all quality check documents? A new configuration option allows multiple selections on match lists, simplifying selections. Also, a new search bar on the Option List Item Value field helps workers quickly filter options when creating a maintenance task review.
All-in-One Reliability Reporting
Redzone’s maintenance activity report integrates full equipment breakdown data into a consolidated view alongside standard preventative maintenance (PM) and work orders. The reports include multi-selection filters and clear visual indicators, so they're easier for operators to use and understand.
Procurement workflows get a major boost: Technicians can export purchase requests as clean PDFs directly from the app using the native Share button. This includes all line items and any attachments, with standard branding.
Smarter Communication, Less Friction
Productivity lives and dies by clear communication. Setting up new communication streams in Redzone is a one-click process: Enabling the Chat toggle on any user group automatically creates the corresponding group channel. Replies in Chats, Channels, and Group Channels increment the unread count until participants read the replies. This helps workers see their unread chat histories to prioritize what needs to be addressed.
Shift and run drill-in lists combine location and asset problems into a single unified view, so teams can see the full picture of downtime without flipping back and forth between dashboards.
Frictionless Training and Longer Video Limits
Continuous learning keeps your plant competitive. Redzone extended the video upload limit to 20 minutes. This means longer, highly detailed SOPs and comprehensive safety training videos can live right on the tablets where your operators work. Keeping your team properly trained and certified has never been easier.
The Bottom Line
Every day, Redzone coaches are working inside manufacturing plants, learning what our customers need next. And every day, our software developers work to deliver new features that solve their problems. If you're a current Redzone user and have questions about these new features — or suggestions for future upgrades — contact your coach or reach out through Redzone Connect. If you're not already a customer and want to learn more, book a demo to see what Redzone can do for your factory.
