Overview

A Real-Time Line Between M3 and the Floor

The integration opens a two-way line of communication between Infor M3 CloudSuite and Redzone. It runs on the Redzone Advanced Integrations add-on and calls Redzone’s REST API suite to move production, quality, and master data between the systems. M3 remains the system of record, operators stop rekeying data, and the floor gets schedule and rate changes as soon as M3 has them.

How It Works

ION APIs, Bulk Queries, and Redzone-Compatible Payloads

The integration uses the Redzone Advanced Integrations add-on to orchestrate calls to Redzone Public API endpoints for master data and to Enterprise Collaboration API endpoints for production events. It queries M3 through Infor ION bulk APIs for facilities, units of measure, and production rates, then converts the data into payloads Redzone can read. The Redzone–Infor integration runs on standardized protocols and requires the following technology in place.

What are the primary workflows supported?

Three: Product Master Sync (master data from M3 to Redzone), Production Schedule Sync (scheduled runs into Redzone), and Production Reconciliation (counts from Redzone back to M3). The M3 pack adds quality holds and location-specific rate management on top.

How are deletions or technical completions handled?

A deletion or technical completion in M3 syncs to Redzone and removes or updates the matching scheduled run, so the floor schedule stays current.

What is the "source of truth" for manufacturing scope?

M3 holds the source of truth for master data and planning. Redzone holds it for what happens on the floor, and the integration doesn’t force Redzone’s scope to match M3’s broader plan.

Are custom fields required in M3?

Yes. Redzone concepts such as Manufacturing Type and Production Type need custom field mapping in M3. You set them up during the Build phase with your Redzone Integration Specialist.
